The course aims primarily at students who will do phylogenetic computation in their thesis work, but who have no hands-on experience with some of the more frequently used software applications. It is structured into three modules, with a home-learning component for ForBio members not studying at UiB, an intensive computer lab at UiB (in November 2012) for all course participants, and a home exam.
